Public invitation to Thanksgiving dinner

Steve and Monica Mackison will serve their traditional Thanksgiving dinner to the community Nov. 22.

The Valley Falls restaurant, now called Mac’s Grill & Pizza, will be open that holiday only from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. to serve the free meal.

The couple will serve turkey and all the trimmings to everyone who wishes to attend. There is no charge and reservations are not required.

“We don’t want anyone to be alone on Thanksgiving and we welcome all who wish to join us,” Monica Mackison said.

This will be the fourth year the couple has cooked the Thanksgiving dinner. They have served an average of 100 dinners each year.

The invitation is extended to the entire trade area and not limited to just Valley Falls.

“If you don’t feel like cooking that day, come join us,” she said.

The Mackisons also own Steve’s Thriftway.
