Thursday, Oct. 25, 2007 Restaurant suffers water line break by Davis Publications staff A water line leading to the pop dispenser burst and flooded the interior of Mac’s Grill & Pizza, Valley Falls, Saturday night. Employees found the problem when they went to open early Sunday morning. The building was flooded with three to four inches of water. Cory Bond, Betty Smith, and Carol Church were able to mop it up and dry it out enough to open for business shortly after noon. Steve and Monica Mackison, owners of Steve’s Thriftway, recently equipped the pizza restaurant with a complete kitchen and grill and changed the name. While it still serves Simple Simon’s Pizza, the hours have been expanded for breakfast and a complete menu is featured. |
