Conservation award winners to be honored Wednesday

The Jefferson County Soil Conservation District will hold its 60th annual meeting Wednesday, Feb. 28, in Oskaloosa.

Profiles of the winners

The Kansas Bankers Association soil conservation awards this year will honor
Chris and Debra McClelland, McLouth,
and Mike and Cindy Miller and Ted and
ELane Miller, Valley Falls. Dan King and
John McGrew of King’s Construction,
Oskaloosa, will receive the wildlife habitat award.

The evening begins at 6:30 with a dinner in the Oskaloosa schools multipurpose room with the meeting followng at 7:30.

The business meeting will include the election of a district supervisor for the term of three years.

John Domann is chairman of the conservation district.
